My goals when I started with Jenna were to increase strength and lose weight. After strength training for several months, I also signed up for a half marathon and made a goal of running a sub-2:15 time. Since training with Jenna I've lost 10 lbs, improved my weight-lifting form significantly, and ran my half marathon in 2:09 - a personal best! I also have more confidence in the gym since she provides me with new workouts every 2 weeks and emphasizes form during our sessions. At the end of each session I have a list of exercises and I know how to do them safely and properly.
Prior to working with Jenna, I felt self-conscious lifting and using machinery at the gym. Most of the equipment was foreign to me, and I was afraid I would look stupid. After seeing Jenna for over six months now, I feel confident venturing to different areas of the gym and using proper form when completing exercises. Jenna is a great motivator and helps push you to your goal, which for me was to tone up and be fit. She is also very professional and tailors the sessions to your needs and wants. Thanks to Jenna, I can see my handwork paying off. Each week I am getting a little stronger and I can finally begin to see definition!
My main goal was to be in top shape for my wedding, however I also wanted to maintain an overall healthy lifestyle. I started training w/ Jenna approximately 10 months before the date and I was very satisfied by the wedding day. I got a lot of compliments on my overall physique and especially my upper arms- an area I was prioritizing on toning. I would meet with Jenna 1x a month and she would give me a great/hard workout. She would then shortly afterwards send me all the exercise, reps, weight amounts, etc, as well as my measurements and the differences from month to month. I was decreasing body fat immediately, while toning up and really feeling overall strong and well. I have run a few 5K’s and have had 2 of my best times since working with Jenna. Jenna pushes u, keeps u on track & is open to all my questions and giving advice on exercises and eating choices. I am now almost 3 months past the wedding date and I am still working with Jenna because I love how I feel. I would absolutely recommend Jenna as a trainer, whether you have a special event you are working towards, or just want a better/healthier lifestyle.
I started training with Jenna when I was pregnant, with the goal of staying in shape during my pregnancy. She helped me not only maintain fitness, but also build muscles that would help me during childbirth. After my daughter was born, I resumed training with her and she focused on rehabbing my core muscles and toning and strengthening my legs and upper body. Jenna was able to identify areas that I needed to work on, and provide exercises to target those areas. She's extremely knowledgeable about the special needs of pregnancy and post natal women, and customized workouts that would challenge but not overwhelm me for whichever stage where I was at. There were even times that I had to bring the baby to our sessions, and she was flexible enough to not only allow that, but also incorporate the baby into the workout, making trips to the gym easy and fun for us both!
I started working with Jenna when I was in need of a kickstart to my gym routine. She mixed in a bunch of great exercises that made each session fly by. She knew just how and when to push to make sure I got great workout while keeping me wanting to come back. She's a perfect mix of friendly and tough! I highly recommend Jenna as a personal trainer!
At the time I was a year removed from rehabilitative physical therapy for diagnoses of bursitis and spinal stenosis. Although I was recovering and exercising, I still had great difficulty with balance and coordination. Jenna was very understanding and attentive of my challenges. She strongly suggested that I concentrate on development of my core muscle groups. It has been my conclusion that they had been weakened through neglect due to my discomfort, as well as from bad habits of posture and constant sitting. Since then I have been meeting with her for monthly personal sessions. Each session has introduced a new variety of exercises and stretches, which have employed all body muscles from head to toe. However, they have all concentrated on incorporating the core muscle groups. The effect of this approach on my core muscle groups has been startling to me. My balance and agility while exercising has improved to a level I never thought I would have achieved even before my ailments surfaced. It has also improved my strength and endurance. My sessions with Jenna have gotten progressively more demanding, rewarding and enjoyable over the past year. She is constantly pushing me to get more out of myself than I would on my own. I have gotten better results from working with her than with any other trainers. Jenna is very well educated and skilled. She espouses a holistic approach to health. She readily dispenses excellent advice regarding diet, exercise, stress and pain management, rest, aging, etc. Personally, she is always extremely nice, attentive, positive and empathetic. She is a pleasure to work with. I would strongly recommended her professional services to anyone interested in making progress.
